Wow! Steph, Your postings are really mesmerizing. I agree with you on the fact that children need the time love and affection from their loved ones and caregivers more than the numerous expensive toys most people think they need. I have worked with children in my Sunday school who think that the it is the role of teachers in schools to meet the attention needs of their children and this is very wrong because these children need first hand care from them before they can expect it from outsiders.
It is so common nowadays, to have a child in class who is hyper active and attention seeking to the extent that they can distract you even when you want to put across a planned message on to the entire class. They seek more attention and make other children feel less important but it sure is emanating from the lack of attention they receive from home.
